MILAN, Italy — 22 January 2026 — Scientology’s Volunteer Ministers have brought their iconic Yellow Tent in Milan, offering a public, walk-up space for practical help and listening support, alongside everyday “Tools for Life” that can be applied to daily problems. Already seen in major cities such as New York, London, Paris, Berlin, Madrid, Rome and Naples, the Yellow Tent is designed to let residents speak with trained volunteers and learn simple steps for communication breakdowns, workplace stress and conflict resolution, as well as support after personal emergencies.

Volunteer Ministers are local citizens trained through 19 introductory courses covering communication, study and learning methods, interpersonal relations and problem-solving. The approach is personal and practical: understand what the person faces and provide an actionable technique.

In Italy, Volunteer Ministers have supported communities during the 2009 L’Aquila earthquake and the 2012 Emilia-Romagna earthquakes, and have also assisted during flooding in the Marche region (2022) and Romagna (2023), working with local services and civil-protection partners to help clear homes and public spaces.

In Milan, activity expanded during the COVID-19 period with sanitisation initiatives and distribution of basic necessities. Organisers say volunteers then continued with neighbourhood support, including over 160 consecutive Saturdays of community clean-up and support, extending across all nine municipal areas of the city, while also contributing to solidarity efforts such as supporting aid shipments to Ukraine.

Ivan Arjona, Scientology’s representative to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and the United Nations, said: “Across Europe, communities grow stronger when citizens are equipped to help each other in practical ways—calmly, respectfully and without prejudice.
